About Us

Who We Are And What We Do

Yoga Energy LV, Center for Yoga, Meditation and Healing Arts was created by Patsy Garcia, RYT Certified Yoga Instructor, Meditation teacher, Reiki Master, Certified S.O.A.R. Yoga for Recovery Teacher and trained in iRest Yoga Nidra by Richard Miller.

Patsy is a dedicated teacher and healer, whose purpose is to help students in the self-healing process, especially from the damaging effects of unmanaged stress and addictions.

When you enter the studio you feel the peaceful atmosphere where you are never rushed in for a class & then right back out the door. As you walk in you can feel the calming energy in the air surrounding you. It is a small comfortable space, with the Eight-fold Path of Yoga displayed on the wall by candle light that reminds us that yoga asana is just one of the Paths of Yoga. When your class is over you are welcome to stay and sit down with a cup of tea and conversation about a class, an asana you are working on, yoga theory or the latest book being read in the book club. When the weather permits grab a cushion and hang out on the front porch.

At our studio you can learn to properly preform the classic Yoga Asanas (postures) in the Beginner Yoga classes, then learn how to flow from one asana to the next in one of the Vinyasa Flow or Slow Vinyasa Flow classes. You can also learn to meditate and establish your own meditation practice, experience how healthy breathing calms your mind and body. Find true deep relaxation with Restorative Yoga, iRest Yoga Nidra and Reiki Energy Therapy.

All Yoga teachers at the Yoga Energy LV Studio are registered with Yoga Alliance and were trained at some of the best yoga schools in the country. Many were trained by Kathleen Santor at the All About Yoga Studio & Stress Management Center of Nevada here in Henderson, Nevada. Meditation teachers and Reiki practitioners are also certified in their fields of experience.

Patsy A. Garcia, R.Y.T., Reiki Master

Patsy Garcia resides in Southern Nevada which has been her home for 27 years after relocating from Austin, Texas in 1990. Working for over 25 years as a technical Illustrator, Land Use designer and Development consultant, she personally experienced the painful health effects of unmanaged stress. Patsy sought a more enlightened path of living that yoga offered and began to study techniques for relieving and managing stress and the unhealthy consequences.

Patsy has acquired a healing “tool box” of techniques including Yoga, Meditation, iRest Yoga Nidra and traditional Yoga Nidra – yogic meditations practiced in a state of deep relaxation, Reiki Energy Therapy that leaves you with a feeling of wellbeing, healthy breathing techniques and Pranayama. She uses a variety of these techniques to develop Yoga Energy Stress Relieving Plans specifically designed for the student’s needs and life style. Set up an appointment with her to develop your own plan for a more relaxed and effective life.

Patsy’s started her first teacher training in 2007 at the All About Yoga Studio in the Stress Management Center of Nevada,. She then trained with Richard Miller in his iRest Yoga Nidra practices. She was Certified by Kyczy Hawk, Author of “Yoga and the 12 Step Path”, for S.O.A.R. Yoga for Recovery, (S.O.A.R. stands for Success Over Addictions and Relapse) She had the privilege of training with T.K.V. Desikachar, author of “The Heart of Yoga” She is currently studying how to overcome trauma through yoga, as used by David Emerson when he helped develop a Trauma Center Yoga Program at the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute (JRT). This training will be used to develop “Trauma Sensitive classes” at the Yoga Energy LV Studio.

Comments from Patsy: “Science is now confirming what the ancient Yogis knew and practiced hundreds & thousands of years ago. I believe in constant training, reading and education in science and yoga so that I can bring the newest technology combined with traditional yoga techniques to my students”.

Jody Mack

Certified Yoga Instructor

My love for yoga began at an early age, even before I knew what I was doing was “yoga”. I began a formal practice in my early twenties and my love grew. In August 2002, I graduated from the Nevada School of Massage Therapy and started my own business as a self-employed massage therapist in Dallas/Fort Worth. Shortly after that, my yoga practice became even more important to me, as a means to bring the longevity I desired to have in my new career. I began teaching in 2003 at a small studio in Fort Worth. As I continued to teach, I was blessed to study with a variety of teachers, from Baron Baptiste to Judith Lasater and many in between. In May 2006, I received my 200-hour certification from Priya Yoga in Dallas, TX and shortly after that, began to teach there as well. In 2009, I left Texas and moved to the Las Vegas area and continued teaching and begin a massage business here, as well. In 2014, I became a mom, so my focus has been there for a while and I’m so grateful for my continuing practice and now for the opportunity to share my love of yoga again, at Yoga Energy LV. I believe that the body is a key to knowing our truth and yoga is an incomparable tool to help us develop this knowledge, with love and without judgment.

A few months later Brain found himself as a 19 year old in Lake Tahoe taking another all-encompassing advanced teacher training course with Doug Swenson, master yoga practitioner and teacher.
