Class Description

Patsy Garcia dedication is to teaching and healing others. Her classes are fun and invigorating yet relaxing. Each session also trains students to become mindful their body’s needs. In every class you gain insight to restoring your energy and vitality, preventing injuries as well as how to calm and sooth your nerves. You learn how to develop your own personal yoga practice for home in addition to your classroom practices.

Gentle Hatha Yoga

This gentle yoga class is suitable for beginners, level 1 -2, seniors, anyone who is recovering from injuries, back pain or illnesses, or anyone who would like to slow down their pace for an hour and enjoy warms ups, deep stretching, moving from one posture to the next slowly and with expert directions and modifications. You will be led through Classic yoga asanas, moving with your breath and a deep relaxation at the end.

Gentle Yin Yoga

GENTLE YIN STYLE YOGA: It is a form of Yin Yoga practiced mostly lying on the matt. It is designed for beginners and people who like slow paced practice. It also helps individuals with knee and shoulder issues, back problems and those recovering from injuries. It is a yoga practice that comprises breathing, warmups and a lot of deep stretching on the floor with instructional modification.

Chair Yoga

CHAIR YOGA: This gentle form of exercise uses a chair to support sitting and standing yoga poses for stability and balance. As with traditional classes, there is a warmup period consisting of gentle moves and light stretches. This is a great way stretch all areas of the body while sitting in & standing next to a chair. This is a safe way to stretch, become more flexible and stronger for those who sit long hours during the day or have physical limitations.

Yin Yoga

Yin yoga is a passive, transformative style of Hatha yoga that asks participants to hold postures for up to 8-minutes each. This longer hold of poses is done to strengthen, lengthen, and provide therapeutic release to joints, muscles, ligaments, fascia, and other connective tissues.

Beginner Hatha Yoga

This class is a very gentle yoga where you will learn the proper posture alignment for classic yoga asanas (postures), how and when to use yoga props, deep breathing, how to prevent injuries. You will gain strength and endurance so that later you will be able to confidently move into vinyasa flow classes as well as other styles of yoga.

Vinyasa Flow

A fun, playful Vinyasa Flow at a safe pace to reduce risk of injury. Learn how to 'flow' safely from pose to pose & learn new balance & challenging poses along the way. Great for all levels! all sizes, shapes & ages!

What We Offer

Yoga Classes - Level I (Beginners to Intermediate)

Beginner Hatha Yoga

60 Minutes

This class is a very gentle yoga where you will learn the proper posture alignment for classic yoga asanas (postures), how and when to use yoga props, deep breathing, how to prevent injuries.  You will gain strength and endurance so that later you will be able to confidently move into vinyasa flow classes as well as other ‘styles’ of yoga.

After taking a series of Beginner classes if you can move into this class where you will progress into Yoga Asanas (postures) that are a little more advanced.  You will continue to receive excellent instruction and attention from highly trained yoga teachers who will lead you in breath with movements, holding the postures longer as you gain more strength and endurance.

Less active than other types of yoga, yin is mainly done lying down on your mat. The main purpose of yin yoga is to provide grounding. As you learn to tune out the daily grind and focus on slowing down and listening to your body, you will learn to totally surrender, mind and body, to your practice.

S.O.A.R. Yoga For Recovery

60 Minutes

What is S.O.A.R. Yoga for Recovery? I was certified by Kyczy Hawk, Author of Yoga & the 12 Step Path, to teach this yoga program she developed to help people in 12 step programs who are trying to recover from all types of addictions. It’s a very gently yoga and breathing to help heal the the body, mind and soul. This yoga does not take the place of counseling, in-patient or out-patient programs or 12 step programs but works with them and can enhance recovery. S.O.A.R. classes will start at the Yoga Energy LV studio by the beginning of July. Check our schedule on Mind Body or the web site in the future for the times.

A one hour meditation class for all levels.

Gentle Yoga & Guided Meditation Practice

70 Minutes

A yoga practice designed to create space in the body and mind for serenity and deep inner peace.  A 40 minute gentle yoga practice with seated, standing and reclined yoga poses followed by 30 minutes of guided Savasana and meditation.

We’ll explore the poses slowly and gently, honoring the body with variations of the poses as needed.  Our guided Savasana will provide the body with a sense of deep relaxation and invite the mind to soften & relax into the guided meditation practice.  A wonderful way to unite body, mind & spirit. All levels are welcome.

A flowing class that connects breath with movement. This is a mixed level class suitable for new or more advanced students. Be prepared to get up and down off the floor and to sweat.

A well-rounded class covering all main muscle groups, building strength & stamina through holding poses, creating heat through breath-work & focused energy with the body in the flow. Finishing out the class with a peaceful, extended Savasana with awesome adjustments all along the way! Come to learn & experience a fun, balanced flow- leave feeling balanced, revitalized & refreshed!
